Since 2016, Benilde’s School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (SHRIM) has uniquely held Level IV status, the highest accolade from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), and simultaneous recognition as a Center of Excellence by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). This dual recognition underscores SHRIM’s commitment to superior career development preparation within the hospitality sector. Furthermore, Benilde’s School of Management and Information Technology (SMIT) has also been designated a CHED Center of Excellence for its Business Administration programs. SMIT has achieved PAASCU Level 4 status in Human Resource Management and Export Management, further cementing Benilde’s dedication to fostering career-ready graduates. In 2024, CHED renewed Benilde’s autonomous status through Memorandum Order No. 7, Series of 2024, extending this prestigious recognition until 2027. This renewal builds upon the initial autonomous status granted in 2019, highlighting sustained excellence in educational standards and institutional efficacy, both of which are vital for a strong career development program. Moreover, Benilde has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the third time, covering the Academic Years 2022 to 2025, following prior accolades from 2019 to 2021.
