The Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program (FCFP) is a prestigious 2-year rotational program meticulously crafted to accelerate the careers of promising early-stage finance professionals within the aerospace industry. Each July, a new cohort of participants joins the FCFP at key Boeing sites located in Washington, Missouri, or Arizona. The program’s dynamic structure involves an initial 12-month placement at one of these primary locations, followed by two subsequent relocations, each lasting six months. Boeing provides company-sponsored relocation for these moves, allowing participants to immerse themselves in diverse finance roles across various U.S. production sites, including Washington, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas. This rotational approach ensures a broad and deep understanding of Boeing’s financial operations.

Sample Rotation Path:

  2. Renton, WA – Commercial Procurement Financial Analyst
  3. El Segundo, CA – Government Satellites Financial Analyst
  4. Philadelphia, PA – US Army/Marine Corps & Special Ops, MH-139 Financial Analyst

Across these four strategically designed six-month rotations, participants in the Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program gain invaluable firsthand experience and cultivate an expansive professional network. Participants will gain a robust understanding of critical financial areas such as cash and cost management, market trend analysis, accounting policy, financial reporting, and the intricate financial relationships between aircraft manufacturing and aftermarket services. Furthermore, the program includes exposure to proposal development and contract negotiations, all essential competencies for a successful finance career at Boeing. This immersive approach ensures graduates of the Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program are exceptionally well-prepared for future leadership roles.

Beyond the rotational assignments, the Boeing Engineering Career Foundation Program emphasizes holistic professional development. Participants engage in five intensive in-person development weeks hosted at different Boeing facilities, offering unique networking and learning opportunities across the company’s footprint. Each participant is paired with a seasoned Finance leader who serves as a mentor, providing guidance and insights throughout the program. Learning directly from industry experts is a cornerstone of the program, ensuring participants gain cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are strategically placed into Finance roles that align with their individual career aspirations and preferred locations, carefully considering their performance throughout the program and the overarching business needs across all U.S. Boeing sites.
