Endeavor Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, has announced a groundbreaking initiative for its pilots: the Career Advancement Program (CAP). This program provides a guaranteed pathway for Endeavor Air pilots to progress to a career at Delta Air Lines, without the need for further testing or interviews.
This week marks the launch of the Career Advancement Program (CAP) at Endeavor Air, promising a direct and secure career trajectory to Delta Air Lines for all aspiring Endeavor pilots. Pilots who commence their careers with Endeavor now have a defined opportunity to transition to Delta, Endeavor’s mainline partner, solidifying their professional journey within the Delta family.
“At Endeavor Air, our pilots operate under the Delta brand and uphold Delta’s operational standards daily,” stated Jim Graham, CEO of Endeavor Air. “Their unwavering commitment to safety, operational excellence, and professionalism has established a strong reputation, earning them this guaranteed opportunity to join our mainline partner.”
The Career Advancement Program (CAP) is the fruit of collaborative discussions and agreements between Delta Air Lines, Endeavor Air, and the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), the union representing Endeavor pilots. Pilots maintaining a commendable employment record at Endeavor and meeting the program’s objective hiring criteria can become eligible for a move to Delta in as little as four and a half years. This Endeavor Career Advancement Program is designed to reward dedication and proficiency.
“Contractual career progression has been consistently highlighted as a top priority by our pilots at Endeavor, and we are proud to announce that it is now a reality,” added Jim Graham. “The CAP stands as an industry-leading program, poised to enhance Endeavor’s position as a robust and competitive airline within the regional sector. This endeavor career advancement program truly sets us apart.”
Attracting and retaining top pilot talent is paramount for Endeavor Air. Endeavor offers its pilots the most competitive hourly pay rates in the regional airline industry, coupled with opportunities for rapid advancement and a thriving company culture. Now, with the defined career pathway to Delta through the endeavor career advancement program, Endeavor Air further distinguishes itself, making it an even more attractive choice for pilots.
Endeavor Air demonstrated its industry leadership by being the first regional airline to resume pilot hiring in March 2021, following the industry-wide hiring freeze during the pandemic. In 2021 alone, Endeavor welcomed nearly 400 new pilots, and class dates for pilot candidates are scheduled through June 2022. Pilots with confirmed class dates can now look forward to a rewarding career journey, visualizing their complete professional potential within the Delta system thanks to this endeavor career advancement program.
“Whether you are embarking on your airline career or seeking to advance it, Endeavor Air presents an exceptional opportunity,” concluded Graham. “And, for those whose ultimate career aspiration is to fly for Delta Air Lines, Endeavor is unequivocally the premier starting point. This career advancement program endeavor offers an unparalleled advantage.”
To qualify for the CAP endeavor career advancement program, pilots must complete a minimum of 4.5 years of active service at Endeavor, including 24 months as Captain. Comprehensive program guidelines are available at www.endeavorair.com.
