Do You Qualify for a Car? Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for a vehicle through this car program for single mothers at Newgate School, you must meet the following criteria:
- Residency: You must be a current resident of the seven-county Metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties) for at least one year.
- Family Structure: You must be a single female head-of-household with one or more dependent children under 18 years old living with you.
- Education: Your school-age children must be enrolled in school.
- Employment/Education Status: You are currently employed, enrolled in school full-time, or a combination of both.
- Driver’s License: You must possess a valid State of Minnesota driver’s license.
