This program is meticulously designed to accelerate the careers of finance professionals just starting out.

What is the Boeing Career Foundation Program?

The Finance Career Foundation Program (FCFP) is a highly selective, two-year rotational program specifically crafted to propel early career finance professionals into impactful roles within Boeing. Each year, a new cohort of participants joins the FCFP in July, based at key Boeing locations in Washington, Missouri, and Arizona. The program distinguishes itself through its immersive structure: participants spend their initial 12 months at their initial site before embarking on two further relocations, each lasting six months. These moves are fully company-sponsored, allowing participants to deeply engage with finance operations across Boeing’s diverse U.S. production sites. Locations can include Washington, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas, offering a broad spectrum of experiences.

Diverse Rotations for Comprehensive Skill Development

Through four strategically designed six-month rotations, the Boeing Career Foundation Program ensures participants gain a holistic understanding of the business while building invaluable expertise and expanding their professional network. These rotations are carefully selected to cultivate technical skills and provide broad exposure to Boeing’s business and corporate landscape. Participants will gain firsthand experience in critical areas such as cash and cost management, understanding market trends, navigating accounting policy, mastering financial reporting, and grasping the intricate relationships between aircraft manufacturing and aftermarket services. Furthermore, rotations delve into the crucial aspects of proposal development and contract negotiations, skills vital for a successful finance career at Boeing and beyond.

Example Rotations:

  • Renton, WA – Commercial Product Development Estimator
  • Renton, WA – Commercial Procurement Financial Analyst
  • El Segundo, CA – Government Satellites Financial Analyst
  • Philadelphia, PA – US Army/Marine Corps & Special Ops, MH-139 Financial Analyst

This variety of experiences is essential for building a robust foundation in Finance, setting the stage for participants’ long-term career success at Boeing.

Training, Mentorship, and Accelerated Career Growth

Beyond rotational assignments, the Boeing Career Foundation Program is committed to the comprehensive development of its participants. The program incorporates five intensive in-person development weeks, held at various Boeing sites, providing unique networking and learning opportunities across the company’s footprint. Each participant is paired with experienced Finance leaders who serve as mentors, offering guidance and support throughout the program. Participants also benefit from direct learning opportunities from industry experts, gaining insights into best practices and future trends in finance.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are strategically placed into Finance roles that align with their individual career aspirations and preferred locations. This placement process also takes into account participants’ demonstrated performance and the evolving business needs across all Boeing U.S. sites, ensuring a mutually beneficial match for both the individual and the company.
