Many of our courses are also offered in a HyFlex format, giving you the ultimate control over how you attend your classes.
What is HyFlex?
HyFlex learning combines the best of both worlds. Your instructor teaches live on campus during scheduled class times. You have the choice to attend class physically in person, or participate virtually through online meeting platforms. HyFlex course availability can vary each semester.

Private Pilot Written Prep
Prerequisites: None
This foundational course is your first step towards becoming a pilot. It comprehensively prepares you to successfully pass the FAA Private Pilot Written exam. You’ll receive in-depth instruction covering essential areas such as general airplane knowledge, aviation meteorology, FAA regulations, navigation and flight planning techniques, aviation physiology, and other critical topics. This course is structured to provide a thorough review of all required subject areas and includes both in-person and online practice tests to ensure you are fully prepared for the FAA exam.
Note: It’s important to remember that a passed private pilot written exam, also known as the knowledge test, is valid for 24 calendar months from the month it was taken. You must complete your practical flight test within this period to avoid needing to retake the written exam.
Aviation Fundamentals (HyFlex)
Prerequisites: None

This introductory course explores the evolution of aviation from its earliest beginnings to modern advancements in aerospace technology and space exploration. Pilot Instrument Ground School (HyFlex)
Prerequisites: Private Pilot Certificate
For pilots seeking to enhance their skills and fly in more challenging conditions, the Pilot Instrument Ground School is essential. This course provides comprehensive ground school preparation for the FAA Instrument Rating written test. Key topics include FAA instrument flight rules, airspace classifications relevant to instrument flying, the physiological aspects of IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) flying, aeromedical considerations and emergency procedures, radio navigation systems and procedures, aviation charts, instrument flight planning, aviation meteorology specific to instrument flying, and aircraft performance in instrument conditions.
