The paths of Sandra Echeverría and Gabriel Coronel have crossed once again, eight years after they starred together in a telenovela. However, this reunion sees the former on-screen lovers turning into rivals as they now compete every Sunday on Univision’s show “Tu Cara Me Suena,” known in English as “Your Face Sounds Familiar.”
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic continues to impact Univision’s Tu cara me suena (Your Face Sounds Familiar) show. Following the previous confirmation that Colombian singer Llane tested positive for COVID-19, it has now been reported that two more contestants have contracted the virus.
Mexican actress Sandra Echeverría and Puerto Rican singer Melina León have both announced their positive COVID-19 diagnoses via their social media channels, where they shared updates about their health and symptoms.

Regarding her symptoms, she shared that she felt fortunate they were not “severe.” She reported experiencing fever, back pain, cough, fatigue, and slight breathing difficulties. She also mentioned her voice being hoarse and experiencing mild tachycardia.

León stated that she had been tested three times, with only the last test coming back positive. The Puerto Rican singer shared that she had felt somewhat suffocated during rehearsals for the show and that the experience has been challenging, especially due to being separated from her family.
“During rehearsals to impersonate Alejandra Guzmán, I felt suffocated, but I thought it was something in the air affecting me. My intention was to make a video today, but unfortunately, this has hit me hard. I have a fever, cough, and all the symptoms. It is a painful process, especially being away from home and my loved ones. I am taking vitamins and hydrating to combat it. This is not a game, please take it seriously. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone,” León wrote in an extensive message on her Instagram account.
