Delphi radios equipped with Bluetooth offer convenient hands-free calling and audio streaming. Connecting your phone often requires a PIN, commonly “0000”. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for pairing your phone with a Delphi Bluetooth radio.
Pairing Your Phone with a Delphi Bluetooth Radio
Delphi radios utilize Bluetooth technology for hands-free communication. Up to 16 phones can be stored in the radio’s memory. Before starting, ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled and discoverable.
Activating Bluetooth Mode
- Press and hold the “Menu” button on the Delphi radio until you hear a beep.
- Use the “Up” or “Down” buttons, or rotate the audio knob, to navigate to the “Hands Free” option on the display.
- Press the “OK” button to select “Hands Free.”
- Select “ON” to activate Bluetooth mode. A Bluetooth icon should appear on the radio display, confirming activation.
Adding a New Phone
- Navigate to “Add Phone” using the “Up” or “Down” buttons or the audio knob.
- Press “OK” to initiate the pairing process. The radio will begin searching for Bluetooth devices. Ensure your phone is in pairing mode.
- The radio display will show “Adding Phone” for approximately three minutes as it scans. If no phone is found, “No Phone Found” will be displayed.
- Your phone should detect the Delphi radio (often displayed as “DEA355 Radio”). Select it on your phone to initiate pairing.
- When prompted for a PIN on your phone, enter “0000”. This is the default Delphi Radio Bluetooth Pin.
Managing Paired Phones
Editing Phone List:
- Select “Edit Phone” on the radio display.
- The radio will display a list of paired phones. If 16 phones are already stored, you won’t be able to add more until one is deleted.
- To delete a phone, select it from the list and press “OK”.
Answering and Rejecting Calls:
- Press “OK” to answer an incoming call.
- Press “ESC” to reject an incoming call.
Understanding Call Status Indicators
The Delphi radio display provides information about the status of your Bluetooth connection and calls:
- Incoming Call: The caller’s name and number will be displayed.
- Outgoing Call: A “>” symbol indicates an outgoing call.
- Call Transfer: “Call Transferred” appears if a call is transferred to your phone.
- Phone Disconnected: This message displays if the Bluetooth connection is lost, the phone is turned off, or out of range.
- Phone Connected: This indicates a successful Bluetooth connection. This message will also appear when a previously connected phone reconnects.
By following these instructions, you can easily connect your phone to your Delphi radio and enjoy the convenience of hands-free calling. Remember to consult your radio’s user manual for specific model instructions.
