EFI Live is a popular tuning platform for diesel trucks, including the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra equipped with the L5P Duramax engine. We offer several options for getting your custom EFI Live tune for your L5P: email delivery for existing EFI Live AutoCal or FlashScan owners, or purchasing a pre-loaded AutoCal directly from us.
If you already own an EFI Live AutoCal or FlashScan device, we can email your custom tune file directly to you. This requires your AutoCal to be unlinked from any previous tuner. We’re happy to help with this process if needed. Alternatively, if you don’t have an AutoCal or FlashScan, you can purchase one pre-loaded with your custom tunes. This simplifies the installation and minimizes downtime for your truck.
All our Efi Live For L5p tunes include comprehensive remote support and unlimited free updates for most modifications. However, significant upgrades like switching to non-VGT turbos, twin or compound turbo setups, or injectors with a 30% or larger size increase may require an additional fee for updated tuning.
ECU Unlocking for L5P Tuning with EFI Live
It’s crucial to understand that the L5P’s E41 ECU requires unlocking before flashing any EFI Live tunes. This unlocking process must be performed using the Avto platform, either by us or another authorized provider.
Important: EFI Live tunes are not compatible with ECUs unlocked using other methods. Attempting to flash a tune onto an improperly unlocked ECU will permanently damage the ECU and void any possibility of a refund. Choosing the correct unlocking method is essential for a successful tuning experience.
